Abstract. Thestudywas conducted inVijayapura district of North Karnatakaduring 2023-2024. Asample of 120 farmers were randomly selected from two taluks of Vijayapura district. The data were collected by personal interview method with the help of structured interview schedule.The results of studyrevealed that two fifth (40.00 %) of the grape growers were under the middle age category, 30.00 per cent of them had studied up to the PUC level, more than half (59.16 %) of them belonged to medium size families, more than two fifth (43.34 %) of them belonged to the medium farmer category, 47.50 per cent of them fall under themedium- income category, more than half (57.50%) of them had low experience in grape cultivation.About36.67percentofgrapegrowershadmediumlevelofinformationseekingbehaviour,40.83 per cent of grape growers had medium level of credibility towards agriculture information sources. Education, annual income, social participation, economic motivation, farm resource base and innovative proneness were positively significant with information- seeking behaviour. The ‘confusion in decision making due to the conflicting information provided from multiple sources of information’ was perceived as most severe constraint bythe grape growers with the mean score of 2.63. The ‘advisories given by scientists/extension personnels are economically not feasibleforfarmers’was second most severe constraint with a mean score of 2.46. ‘More number of grape crop demonstrations may be laid on farmer’s field was identified as the most important suggestion by them with a mean score of 2.56. ‘Well-organized extension programmes may be developed for wide diffusion and quick adoption of recommended grape cultivation technology’ was the second most important suggestion by them with a mean score of 2.53.
