ABSTRACT
During kharif 2023-24, a field experiment on “Performance of kharif groundnut (cv. Dh-256) to application of Jeevamrutha and Vermiwash” was replicated thrice in randomized complete block design with eight treatments on Vertisols of Main Agricultural Research Station, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad (Karnataka, India). The results indicated that recommended package of practices (RPP) recorded significantly higher groundnut pod yield (2883 kg ha-1), haulm yield (3379 kg ha-1), kernel yield (2198 kg ha-1), number of pods plant-1 (29.82), pod weight plant-1 (30.83 g), shelling percent (76.11 %), sound matured kernels (96.27 %), oil yield (1010 kg ha-1), plant height (32.50 cm), dry matter production plant-1 (42.23 g), leaf area (11.40 dm2), leaf area index (3.82), gross return (`195467ha-1) and net return (`105906 ha-1) over all other treatments except application of recommended dose of fertilizer (RDF) in combination with soil application of jeevamrutha @ 500 l ha-1 and foliar spray of vermiwash @ 4 % at pegging and pod development stage (2595 kg ha-1, 3041 kg ha-1,1988 kg ha-1, 25.14, 27.11g plant-1, 72.39 %, 88.87 %, 880 kg ha-1, 29.00 cm, 36.50 g plant-1, 10.90 dm2, 3.66, ₹ 175941 ha-1 and `100056 ha-1, respectively) with which was at par. However, higher BC ratio (2.32) was found with the application of RDF in combination with the soil application of jeevamrutha and foliar spray of vermiwash at pegging and pod development stage compared to application of 100 % RDN through vermicompost (1.78). The next best treatment was application of RDF in combination with the soil application of jeevamrutha and foliar spray of vermiwash at pegging stage (2489 kg ha-1, 2935 kg ha-1, 1842 kg ha-1, 23.31, 25.12 g plant-1, 70.91 %, 86.76 %, 814 kg ha-1, 27.70 cm, 34.21 g plant-1, 10.60 dm2, 3.55, `168754 ha-1 and `94069 ha-1, respectively).
